Memory Upgrades That Keep Your Computers Runs Smoothly
⊆ 8:38 PM by Ratna DewiThe memory is just another term for the RAM (random access memory). E essentially a place of storage of data so that it can be easily retrieved by the microprocessor. Unlike a hard drive, RAM is volatile meaning when you turn your computer off, whatever is stored in your memory (RAM) is lost. Please do not confuse this with the memory of disk space or hard disk, these are two completely different things.
You may find many good names in RAM production. Many computer retailers has their own product such as Apple Memory & MAC RAM, each by Apple Computer and MAC Computer.
There are many types of RAM, which generally come in two main categories: static and dynamic RAM. To keep it simple the main differences between the two are the speed, space and price. Static RAM is much faster than dynamic random access memory because the static RAM should not constantly renew a more dynamic random access memory. Static RAM is usually also able to organize much more information on Dynamic RAM. That said, you can see the static RAM is generally more expensive than dynamic RAM. Every time you open a program, you add your data for your site storage (memory). The more programs and processes you have running at the same time, the more memory you are taking up, and the slower your computer's performance will be.
For example, while the computer has 512 megabytes (MB) of RAM and you take a look at a program that uses about 400 MB of memory, so you may close some programs first so the program could run well. When you get to the point where you have used up almost all of your memory and virtual memory, your computer will give you a message stating that you cannot open anymore programs or applications until your close some of the ones you have running.
Anyway, you could add some more memory into your computer. Adding extra memory is today the simplest and most cost-effective way of upgrading a computer, several machines or an entire network. Doubling the memory of most computers can often be done for less than $100 per machine, staving off for another year or so the need to purchase the newest computer models. The upgrading process is absolutely up to you. You can do either a PC3200 DDR400 SDRAM Upgrade or 2gb memory upgrade, or even more.
